Faith-based organizations and communities have been identified as key resources in response to the problem of human trafficking in North America. Dr. Hofer’s research in this area indicates a substantial and critical need for increased awareness, improved service provision, and legislative reform. Her recent research explored the perceptions and roles of faith-based communities and organizations in addressing this alarming and growing crisis.
